Global Warming...Really???


It has been a very cold and snowy winter in Cincinnati this year. We received our second big snow of the year...one week after the first! Of course, the meteorologists all got it wrong. We were only to get a dusting to possibly an inch. We got 6 inches just in time for the commute home. School was cancelled again today. The kids had 4 days off last week! I guess we'll be making up days this summer. Notice the snow build up on our door plate inside the house! We don't have a drafty door...

    Did you build a big slide in the backyard or is that an exclusive Ross/Bertke snow day thing? I love the door pic. Wish we could be there to play in it, though I'm sure it's wearing off it's welcome.

    No slide (definitely a Bertke/Ross thing only) or snowman. The first snow was too icy and the second too powdery. Bummer. Brad did take Jack and Drew to a park with big hill last weekend. Jack went down the side of the hill the first time down and slammed into a barn. Not good. A few runs down the big hill and then he hit a bump and went airborne. He came down very hard on his back. Brad didn't see the landing but a nearby lady ran over and told Brad if he wasn't moving to call 911. She said he landed very hard on the ice. We almost took him to urgent care a few hours later as he was still laying on couch complaining how much it hurt. He was ok but won't want to go sledding anytime soon!
    We leave for Disney Saturday so I probably won't be on computer for next week.
